Axial piston pumps - closed circuit

Medium Power

Series 42

Series 42 pumps are advanced hydrostatic units for medium power applications and can combined with a suitable Danfoss motor or other products in a system to transfer and control hydraulic power.
The Series 42 variable displacement pump is a compact, high power density unit, using the parallel axial piston/slipper concept in conjunction with a tiltable swashplate to vary the pump’s displacement.
Reversing the angle of the swashplate reverses the flow of fluid from the pump, and reversing the direction of rotation of the motor output. Series 42 pumps provide an infinitely variable speed range between zero and maximum in both forward and reverse.
Series 42 pumps use a cradle swashplate design with a hydraulic servo control cylinder.
Control is provided through a compact servo control system. A variety of servo controls are available. These include mechanically- or electrically-actuated feedback controls, hydraulic or electric proportional controls, and a three-position electric control. These controls feature low hysteresis and responsive performance.

For smaller and middle drive power

  • Displacements from 15 to 46 cm³/U (4 Frames)
  • pressures up to 450 bar
  • Multiple Pump possible
  • broad automatic controller program

Series 40 Axial Piston Variable Displacement Pumps

With this axial piston design with a fixed or variable swash plate, speeds between zero and maximum can be run, not only in the forward but also in the reverse direction.

They are compact units with high power density (maximum 345 bar). The changing of the swept volume is achieved via axial pistons with sliding shoes arranged in parallel which slide over a variable swash plate.

Through the tilting of the swash plate in the opposite direction, the flow direction of the volume flow is reversed and with it the running direction of the pump is changed. The pumps M25, M35 and M44 work with a direct manual flow volume adjustment. The M46 size pump works with electrical, hydraulic flow volume adjustment or 3-point flow volume adjustment.

The pumps M35, M44 and M46 are equipped with an integral charging pump, the M25 size pump is designed for use with an external pressure supply.

High Power

Series 90

Series 90 variable displacement pumps are compact, high power density units. All models utilize the parallel axial piston/slipper concept in conjunction with a tiltable swashplate to vary the pump’s displacement. Reversing the angle of the swashplate reverses the flow of oil from the pump and thus reverses the direction of rotation of the motor output.
Series 90 pumps include an integral charge pump to provide system replenishing and cooling oil flow, as well as control fluid flow. They also feature a range of auxiliary mounting pads to accept auxiliary
hydraulic pumps for use in complementary hydraulic systems. A complete family of control options is available to suit a variety of control systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electric).
Series 90 motors also use the parallel axial piston/slipper design in conjunction with a fixed or tiltable swashplate. They can intake/discharge fluid through either port; they are bidirectional. They also include an optional loop flushing feature that provides additional cooling and cleaning of fluid in the working loop.

For middle and high drive power

  • Displacements from 42 to 250 cm³/U
  • pressures up to 480 bar
  • Broad automatic controller program

Series H1

The H1 axial piston variable displacement pumps are of cradle swashplate design and are intended for closed circuit applications. Flow direction is reversed by tilting the swashplate to the opposite side of the neutral (zero displacement) position. The flow rate is proportional to the pump input speed and displacement. The latter is infinitely adjustable between zero and maximum displacement.
The H1 family of closed circuit variable displacement axial piston pumps is designed for use with all existing Danfoss hydraulic motors for the control and transfer of hydraulic power. H1 pumps can be used together in combination with other Danfoss pumps and motors in the overall hydraulic system.

For middle and high drive power

  • Displacements from 45 to 250 cm³/U
  • Pressures up to 450 bar
  • Control Types:
    • Electric displacement control (EDC)
    • Forward-Neutral-Reverse (FNR)
    • Non Feedback Proportional Electric (NFPE)
